How to use the FNA search interface: |

| Click on a characteristic, Name, Description, Discussion, or Distribution, to highlight it from the list to the left. | ![]() |

| Type the trait into the text box to the right. | ||||||||||

| Click the |
button then the

to add the trait to the list of active searches.

| Click the |
button to execute the search on the traits in the
active searches list.

| Click the Results tab to view which traits returned documents. | ![]() |

| Mousing over a stack reveals a yellow box around the traits that returned those documents. | ||||||||||
| Double-clicking a stack will bring you to the documents page, where you can see a list of the returned species. | ||||||||||
